In this week's Now & Then we compare the view of High Street, Yiewsley, taken from Colham Bridge between the present day and 1935. You will see that Harris's Drapery and the adjoining shops have been replaced by the present day Health Centre. Other shops beyond the Health Centre have been replaced by Deen Court (now home to Strands Hairdressers) and St Stephens Court (home to Yiewsley Pharmacy and Lodge Brothers) which are mixed use buildings with shops on the ground floor and flats above. The old Anchor Pub site opposite Harris's is now home to a block of flats called 'Art Wood Apartments'.
